Two years after delivering the punishing first full-length record, Sand (and two most excellent splits after), Pyramido returns with another weapon of mass-destructrion! That's six new tracks of a raw Sludge journey more complex than before (yet primitive as hell), pounding, groovy, and absolutely crushing. 40 minutes of sensory pummeling overflowing with feedbacks, suffocating riffs, dirty distortion, screams… Another step forward for this Swedish beast. Filth doesn’t take prisoners. Get pulverized!
Sand is the first full-length album of Swedish maniacs, Pyramido, and it delivers five punishing tracks of raw Sludge for almost 50 minutes. This old school slab of DOOM is primitive, dirty and gruff! Get crushed.
Without any hesitation, Sweden's Pyramido deliver a masterpiece after a masterpiece and their 3rd album in four years sees them blossoming solely in the killing fields of random sludge and doom with their new eponymous full album titled Saga.
Massive sludge-doom and acid-riffage this way comes 25 seconds into the opening track of "Varje Steg Är Ett Snedsteg",continued by the epic-gut-wrenching 90's-Neurosis like conjuring cry out of 2nd track "År Av Onåd", with guitars echo-blazing in the background to build up the puncturing blackened-tension of following track "Foise". Then comes the tribal-psych-occultism of "Klockrike" as a secret path to the pneumatic intensity of "Ingen Människa Är En Ö" and its' transcendent post-rock ridden hooks while the sixth track, "Tiden Är Kommen", is a cathartic and a compelling closure for the album with over seven minutes devoted to taking the skies all the way down, and scattering them back on earth where they truly belong.
